Trina Braxton's Heartbreak: Husband Von Scales Passes Away at 58 New

Trina Braxton's Heartbreak: Husband Von Scales Passes Away at 58

Trina Braxton’s husband, Von Scales, has died. He was 58. “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Von Scales, beloved husband of Trina Braxton,” a spokesperson for Braxton’s family said in a statement shared with TMZ on Thursday, October 1. “The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers but is asking for privacy at this time as they navigate this unfortunate event.” A cause of death has not been publicly revealed. Us reached out to Braxton, 51, for further comment. Braxton and Scales had been married since 2019. The singer’s ex-husband, Gabriel Solis, died one year prior. “On December 20, 2018, a chapter permanently closed for my sons and I. For over 16 years, Gabe Solis was an essential part of our lives,” Braxton wrote via Instagram, referring to her former spouse and their two children. “Like all families, there are good and bad moments that are endured, but those moments, good or bad, still made us who we are in the present.” She continued at the time, “I do humbly ask for your prayers for our families, but my greatest request is that when you are posting comments, remember Gabe’s passing is a loss for our family. He was a father to my boys, a son, brother and friend to many and I would appreciate privacy and respect as we grieve his unexpected departure.” Braxton concluded her emotional tribute with a note to Solis directly, writing, “I miss you, my dear friend.” As Braxton found love with Scales, he joined her on her family’s reality show The Braxtons. “We met through mutual friends. There was a gentleman that he worked with who was also my neighbor,” she recalled to Essence in 2019. “He was from St. Louis, so when Von was visiting and doing some work, my friend was like, 'Hey, I know this guy and he just got out of a relationship. You two would really hit it off.' And we did!” She added, “He lived in St. Louis and we talked on the phone all the time. Whenever we didn't, I kind of missed him, you know what I mean? He's just such a great conversationalist and I just enjoyed talking to him, and enjoyed his company when he came to visit.” In the years since The Braxtons wrapped in 2025, Braxton and Scales documented their wellness journey via social media. “My health is back on track,” he said in a December 2025 social media video. “That event occurred in February at Towanda [Braxton’s] wedding, there was something wrong, but I didn’t feel it. I felt wonderful that day … but since then, I’ve felt good.”

Charlie Kirk's Mother Breaks Silence on Feud Rumors with Widow Erika New

Charlie Kirk's Mother Breaks Silence on Feud Rumors with Widow Erika

Charlie Kirk’s mother, Kathryn Kirk, has broken her silence on rumors that she’s feuding with his widow, Erika Kirk. “We knew Charlie in a way that no one else did,” Kathryn told Vanity Fair in an interview with Erika, 37, published on Tuesday, September 29 — just over one year after the conservative activist was shot and killed at Utah Valley University while speaking at an event for his non-profit organization, Turning Point USA, which was taken over by his wife after his death. “We can look at each other’s eyes, and we know the depth of our despair,” Kathryn continued of her relationship with Erika. Addressing public criticism of Erika for taking over as CEO of TPUSA and rumors that the mother and daughter-in-law don’t get along, Kathryn added, “We were 100 percent behind her. Erika and I have, through the trauma, grown closer.” Erika’s leadership role within the organization has drawn questions about the direction she is taking the conservative group, especially after the president of TPUSA’s University of Georgia chapter resigned in April, claiming the group has strayed from Charlie’s vision since Erika took the helm. “I’m built different,” Erika told VF in response to the backlash. “I do not know how to explain it other than this world will not break me.” TPUSA confirmed Charlie’s death on September 10, 2025. He was 31. “It’s with a heavy heart that we, the Turning Point USA leadership team, write to notify you that early this afternoon, Charlie went to his eternal reward with Jesus Christ in Heaven,” a statement from the organization wrote at the time. Tyler Robinson, the man accused of assassinating Charlie, was charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, obstruction of justice and witness tampering. He pleaded not guilty. In early September, a judge ruled that Robinson’s case would go to trial. The 23-year-old faces the death penalty if convicted. “[This decision was] an important step in our family’s pursuit of justice for him,” Charlie’s family said in a statement at the time. “Every step in this process carries the weight of all that Charlie’s murder has taken from his family, especially his [two] children who will grow up without their father. We are grateful to all who have continued to pray for us, support us, and stand with us through a year of unimaginable grief.” The statement continued, “As the next phase of the judicial process begins, our family remains united in our love for Charlie, our commitment to the pursuit of justice, and our prayer for a transparent and timely process.”

Mary Cosby's Bold Move After Tragic Loss Sparks Reactions New

Mary Cosby's Bold Move After Tragic Loss Sparks Reactions

Mary Cosby is opening up about her decision to return to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City just weeks after her son, Robert Cosby Jr., died. “I just didn’t want to sit around and sulk,” Mary, 53, said on the Wednesday, September 30, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “I didn’t want to sit around and it just swallow me. So, I thought, ‘Be distracted, keep going.’ My son would want me to go [on] and just push, and I did.” Mary resumed filming for RHOSLC season 7 earlier this year following Robert Jr.’s death at age 23 in February. The season premiere followed Mary’s fellow cast members — Meredith Marks, Lisa Barlow, Bronwyn Newport, Whitney Rose, Angie Katsanevas and Heather Gay — rallying around her in the aftermath of her son dying. In February, a Salt Lake City Police Department spokesperson confirmed to Us that officers responded to a dispatch call for an overdose at 6:14 p.m. on February 23. Robert Jr. was found dead upon their arrival. In September, Mary opened up about her grief in an interview with Vulture. “I think I went into shock. I don’t know if it ever hit me, because I still feel my son,” she said. “I still feel his spirit, and I don’t know how that could be unless he’s OK and he made it to the good side. I feel him safe. I feel him tucked away. I feel him away from danger so a part of me can rest.” “I was so worried about him, but I thought he would get better and he would be that proof, like, ‘Look, people, you can change.’ But that was not the way he was supposed to go. People don’t leave unless it’s their time,” she continued. “I mean, this kid had nine lives. He had accident after accident, and finally it caught up with him. I think that it was for the good. To this day, there’s a peace that lives in my house. It’s a peace that we didn’t have before. So we’re thankful but hurt, if that makes sense.” In the same interview, Mary revealed that the RHOSLC production team offered her the opportunity to take time off. “I thought, ‘If I [take time off], then I’m gonna go darker into what I’m in. I’m gonna just sit at home, I’m gonna think about it. I’m gonna constantly be at ends: Why, what, how, when, what could I have done better, what could I have changed?’” she said. “I would have beat myself up.” The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 7 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock. I’m the best man, you hear me? Love you, bitch.” B.G., 46, who shared the video on his page, captioned the post, “My lil Brodie gave me his blessings @liltunechi.” Us reached out to reps for Lil Wayne for comment. The announcement comes two months after Lil Wayne denied that he had gotten engaged. “I would like to clear something up,” he said during a livestream in July. “No, I’m not engaged. I had a beautiful thing going on with an amazing person, but, obviously, due to the validity of the temperature of today’s crazy world and culture, I considered, I don’t want to be such a burden on such an amazing person. So, we decided to part. Sucks.” Cannon is an influencer with more than 79,000 followers on Instagram. Lil Wayne (real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) is a father to four kids with four different women: daughter Reginae, 27, with Toya Johnson; son Dwayne III, 17, with Sarah Vivan; son Kameron, 17, with Lauren London; and son Neal, 16, with Nivea. He and Johnson, 42, were married from 2004 to 2006, while he and Nivea, 44, were engaged from 2002 to 2003. Lil Wayne has been engaged multiple other times throughout his career, including to Trina from 2005 to 2007, Dhea Sodano from 2012 to 2019 and Denise Bidot from 2021 to 2022. In July, Nivea revealed that she was diagnosed with blood cancer. “I was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year,” she said during an episode of Cadillac Chronicles. “I am so grateful to God. I am going through treatment.” The "Don't Mess With My Man" singer continued, “Everything is going great so far, and I expect it to continue. Amen. Amen. Amen! I’m very grateful for life. It’s so cliche to say, ‘You don’t know the time nor the hour,’ but it’s true. It just helped me put a lot of things into perspective.”

Ashley Tisdale Opens Up About Trying to Divorce Amid Intense Postpartum Depression New

Ashley Tisdale Opens Up About Trying to Divorce Amid Intense Postpartum Depression

Ashley Tisdale French is revealing how her “intense” postpartum depression battle impacted her marriage to Christopher French. “I was so proud of myself for, like, dealing with the anxiety stuff and being like, ‘OK, now I'm ready to have a child because I feel like I'm equipped emotionally to be able to do that,’” Tisdale French, 41, recalled to her husband on the Wednesday, September 30, episode of his “Recovering” podcast, referring to her mental health struggles after welcoming daughter Jupiter in 2021. “But then, I got hit with postpartum depression, which is really hormonal and all of the tools that I had learned and knew to use, like, you can't use. The hormonal stuff is the hardest part.” According to the actress, her PPD battle felt “very intense.” “I was like, ‘I know what to do and why am I still feeling this way?’” she noted. “And then, nobody was diagnosing me with it, too. That was the hardest part. I remember my OB was saying, ‘Oh, you have PMDD.’ And I'm like, ‘What is that?’ It's some kind of worse PMS before your period, and it hits you from the two weeks before your period, so you only feel normal for two weeks. I was like, ‘Well, what do you do for it?’ And she's like, ‘We have nothing to do for that.’” While navigating her mental health challenges, Tisdale French also struggled in her marriage to the composer. “Obviously, you dealt with a lot of that, and we had difficulty enduring that first year. I tried to divorce you so many times,” she said through laughter. “You’re so grounded and calm and knew to just let it blow over.” The Disney Channel alum’s doctor formally diagnosed her with PPD upon Jupiter’s 2nd birthday. Through it all, French, 44, stood steadfast by his wife’s side. “Viewing it from the outside is crazy,” he said. “It was so hard to watch you going through something that you couldn’t control — not that you couldn't control [it because] we can't really ever even control our emotions — but when it's hormonal specifically and you mentioned that, I do think there's a huge difference between emotional challenges and hormonal challenges. There’s almost no way to work with that. Like, it's almost beyond your grasp.” He continued, “You would be so loving and happy to hold Jupiter. You know, she's just born and we're like, ‘Wow, we got a baby and this is so crazy.’ And then within a few minutes, it was like your entire mood had shifted, like everything had changed.” The couple welcomed their second daughter, Emerson, in 2024. The High School Musical star noted she didn’t have “the same experience” with PPD. Phil Mickelson's Alleged Infidelity and Golf Club Drama: What Really Happened? New

Phil Mickelson's Alleged Infidelity and Golf Club Drama: What Really Happened?

Pro golfer Phil Mickelson voluntarily checked into a treatment center after he was allegedly kicked out of a prestigious country club amid claims of infidelity and inappropriate conduct. "Phil was seeking treatment for family trauma and addiction,” a representative for Mickelson, 56, confirmed to Us on Wednesday, September 30.  The six-time major champion has already checked out of the facility, according to TMZ Sports. Mickelson was accused of cheating on his wife of 30 years, Amy, multiple times in a scathing June report written by journalist Alan Shipnuck and published by Skratch Golf. Shipnuck spoke to a member of the Bridges golf club — located near the Mickelson family’s Rancho Santa Fe, California home — who claimed Mickelson recruited staff members to help him cheat on Amy, who was allegedly tracking his phone.   “Phil would give his phone to a young man in the pro shop and pay him $500 to drive around the course for three or four hours,” a Bridges member alleged. “Amy was tracking his phone; that way, she would think he was out on the golf course. That gave Phil the time to sneak over to this guy’s house and have his secret rendezvous.” Another member claimed, “It wasn’t just employees [Mickelson] gave his phone to, it was also members. He’d be like, ‘Hey, if it’s okay I’m gonna put my phone in your cart, I’ll catch up with you on the back nine.’” In another instance, Mickelson was accused of showing “a full-body picture of himself naked with an erection while flexing one bicep” to Ashley Perez, the then-wife of Mickelson’s longtime friend, Pat Perez.  “Phil says to me, ‘I’m going to leave my bedroom door open tonight. When Pat falls asleep I want you to come see me,” Ashley told Shipnuck.  A spokesperson for Mickelson issued a statement to Us regarding the allegations surrounding his alleged conduct and the state of his marriage.  “Mrs. Mickelson is not a public figure,” the statement said. “She did not choose this spotlight, and there was no legitimate journalistic reason to drag her into it. Shipnuck nevertheless gave anonymous sources a platform to speculate about her marriage, her motives and decisions they had no firsthand knowledge of.”  The statement continued, “Shipnuck’s reporting suggests that Mrs. Mickelson orchestrated Mr. Mickelson’s departures from golf clubs. That is false. Mr. Mickelson has never been forced by his wife or by any golf club to surrender his membership. Those decisions were his alone.” The Skratch Golf story came in the wake of a separate allegation against Mickelson, in which the pro golfer was accused of inappropriately touching a female employee at The Farms Golf Club, located outside of San Diego. “Mickelson approached the female employee at the clubhouse where he made nonconsensual and inappropriate physical contact with her,” Golf Digest reported in June. “The employee rejected his advances.” The club initiated “a review and investigation” and confronted Mickelson with their findings, asking him to leave the premises.  “The Farms Golf Club is committed to maintaining a golf club environment that is safe, respectful and reflects the highest standards of conduct,” the club said in a statement to Golf Digest. “All members are required to adhere to our Code of Conduct, and any allegations of misconduct are taken seriously. Following a staff member report of member misconduct, the Club provided immediate and ongoing support to the staff member, conducted a thorough independent investigation of the incident and took decisive action. This individual is no longer a member of The Farms Golf Club.” “Any misunderstanding has been cleared up,” a spokesperson for Mickelson said about the alleged incident at The Farms.
