Wladimir Klitschko Makes Urgent Legal Move for Daughter's Inheritance

Hayden Panettiere’s ex-fiancé, Wladimir Klitschko, asked the court to be named the guardian of their 11-year-old daughter Kaya’s estate, according to new court documents obtained by Page Six.

Klitschko filed paperwork in Los Angeles on Thursday to protect his daughter’s inheritance, noting Kaya — who lives in Ukraine with her dad — “is entitled to the entirety” of the late “Heroes” star’s assets.

The docs state it’s “urgent and essential” that Klitschko, 50, be appointed temporary guardian of Kaya’s estate so he “may receive, manage and hold” Kaya’s assets on her behalf.

Klitschko continued in court papers that he is “informed and believes” federal agents entered Panettiere’s Los Angeles residence as part of an ongoing investigation and “removed property belonging to Hayden’s Estate.”

He noted there is no personal representative to safeguard the interests of Panettiere’s estate.

The court papers read, “Prior to her death, Hayden and [Klitschko] had hired a security service to protect Hayden’s Home and its contents, arising from a documented concern that an individual had gained unauthorized access to Hayden’s property.

“Locks to Hayden’s Home were changed by the security service following Hayden’s death, and storage units containing designer clothing and accessories worn to public appearances have been relocated as a precaution.”

While Klitschko does not state the individual’s name, he claimed “it is expected that the individual will continue to try and misappropriate property belonging to Hayden’s Estate. Given the high publicity of Hayden’s Estate, a personal representative needs to be appointed immediately to safeguard and protect Hayden’s Home and contents.”

Klitschko also alleged that non-family members have “accessed and destroyed” her emails. He also mentions certain personal items, including jewelry “have disappeared or remain unaccounted for,” as some are in the possession of law enforcement.

Panettiere died as a result of the toxic effects of multiple drugs, including fentanyl, at a South Carolina Airbnb on Aug. 16. She was 35.

The “Nashville” star’s on-again, off-again boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, was on the scene when she died.

Her parents, Lesley Vogel and Skip Panettiere, are fighting over the late star’s jewelry that she was wearing at the time of her death, according to Greenville County coroner’s report obtained by Page Six last week.

One parent wanted the earrings — which were placed in a locker for safe keeping — mailed to them in North Carolina, while the other wanted them sent to their address in California.

Panettiere was estranged from her mother, who was once her manager, before her death.

Panettiere and Klitschko dated on-and-off from 2009 to 2018. That year, she gave up custody of her daughter amid her battle with postpartum depression and addiction.

Panettiere spoke about her and Kaya’s “really intense, incredible bond” before her death.

“I go travel as much as I can. I see her. I do spend a lot of time on FaceTime with her, but we talk about really deep things,” she told Jay Shetty on the “On Purpose” podcast in May.

Panettiere also denied rumors that she abandoned her daughter on the podcast, saying, “I mean, the idea that anybody would think that I would just give away my child and be OK with it is heartbreaking. Couldn’t be further from the truth.”

After Panettiere’s death, a source close to the “Scream” actress exclusively told Page Six that she had been planning to spend the week of her birthday with her daughter in Germany.

“She was so excited to see her and was telling everyone how much she was looking forward to spending time with her,” the source added.

Klitschko broke his silence on Panettiere’s passing in an emotional social media tribute last month, calling her “an important part of my life and the mother of our daughter, Kaya.”

“Our family is going through a time of profound shock and grief,” the former professional boxer wrote. “The announcement of Hayden’s tragic death saddens me deeply. She left this world far too soon.”

Klitschko added, “To our daughter Kaya, I will always speak of her mother with respect and make sure she remembers the person she was.”

Klitschko and Kaya did not go to Panettiere’s memorial reception in Malibu on Sept. 19, which was attended by around 150 of her family members and friends.

Vogel and Hickerson also missed the event.
