Mia Goth's Custody Battle with Shia LaBeouf Raises Eyebrows

Mia Goth has filed for divorce from Shia LaBeouf more than one year after their split, Us can confirm.

Goth, 32, filed the legal documents in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 6. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their breakup, revealing the exes’ date of separation as July 28, 2025. (TMZ was first to report the divorce news.)

According to the filing, Goth is asking for primary legal and physical custody of her and LaBeouf’s 4-year-old daughter, Isabel.

The actress is also requesting to terminate the court’s ability to award her or LaBeouf, 40, spousal support amid the divorce.

Goth further noted that “the exact nature and extent” of any separate property assets or community property assets and debts belonging to either party are “currently unknown.” She is asking the court to amend her petition once that information is ascertained.

The petition also requests that Goth and LaBeouf pay any attorney fees.

Us has reached out to LaBeouf's attorney for comment.

Goth and LaBeouf tied the knot in October 2016 after four years of dating.

Two years into their marriage, the pair went their separate ways, and the Even Stevens alum moved on with FKA Twigs.

Us confirmed in September 2018 that LaBeouf filed for divorce from Goth.

In March 2020, however, LaBeouf and Goth sparked reconciliation rumors when they were spotted together in Los Angeles with their wedding rings on.

Less than two years later, Goth debuted her baby bump, seemingly confirming in January 2022 that she and LaBeouf were expecting their first baby.

News broke in April 2022 that Goth had given birth after she was spotted pushing a stroller. LaBeouf confirmed their daughter’s arrival that August, revealing that baby Isabel was 5 months old.

LaBeouf and Goth’s life as parents flew under the radar, but the Holes actor later made headlines in February when he was charged with two counts of simple assault following an alleged altercation in the French Quarter in New Orleans.

News subsequently broke that LaBeouf and Goth had quietly split sometime in 2025. According to Page Six, LaBeouf moved to New Orleans following their breakup.
