Why Jackson Olson Avoids Looking at Maggie Sajak During 'DWTS'

Jackson Olson is grateful to have the support of his girlfriend, Maggie Sajak, in the Dancing With the Stars audience, but he tries not to look at her while performing. "It's so awesome [to have her here]. I try not to look at her during the dance because I know that she's smiling," Olson, 28, exclusively told Us after his Viral Hits Night performance on Tuesday, September 22. Olson gushed over Sajak's positive demeanor, adding, "I know that she's so excited and smiling. And if I looked at her, I would just like be like, 'Ah!'" He continued: "But it's awesome, and she's so supportive of both of us, too. She was wearing the Team Banana ballroom shirt today, so that was cool." Maggie, 31, has been a supportive presence in the crowd so far this season, but her famous father, Pat Sajak, has yet to make an appearance. "We need to [have him here]," Olson told Us. "I think he'll be at one of these." Tuesday's episode of the ABC competition show had Olson and his pro partner, Emma Slater, performing a foxtrot to “That’s So True” by Gracie Abrams, which earned an 18 out of 30 from the judges. "We were still exhilarated. What I realized about this show is that one point difference is so drastic. It is more than I've ever seen," the athlete told Us. "Like, in baseball, your batting average is from zero to 1,000 points. So if you're hitting 360 or 300, it's not that you're like, 'All right, whatever.' That's 60 points, but it's not that much." Olson was thrilled to see his scores improving from night one, saying, "We got 5s last week, 6s this week. You could see how excited we were about it." The duo praised the way each of them has handled the ups and downs of putting on a performance in such limited time. "I do feel like, naturally, we're very sunny people. I think — if I may pat us both on the back — I kind of feel like that's a bit of a superpower," Slater, 37, noted. "Like, if you can wake up every day and just naturally be happy and find joy, I think that's such a strength. You're able to love on everybody. You're able to see beauty everywhere." She continued: "You can find reasons to be happy every day. That's an amazing thing and I hope that people can see that. I know that sometimes that's not easy to do, but if you can, that's the best." Looking ahead, Slater and Olson teased big plans for Yacht Rock Week. "The postures had a really big improvement, and we're going to keep going, because this is the new standard," she noted. "We've been working on all of these things and each new dance has [a] different technique to add to it. But I'm really excited to teach him that technique and just build, build, build." Olson, meanwhile, hopes he can keep making the judges proud, saying, "I really took it to heart this week when they all said last week, 'Jackson, it was [a] great performance, but there were a lot of bad parts of your technique.' We took some moves out that might have been a little bit too frantic, and I was like, 'Oh, my gosh, we're taking out moves that I learned already.' But Emma's like, 'No, it's going to be for the better.' And it was." Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.

Reality TV star Maura Higgins is pouring herself into the Dancing With the Stars experience, leading to an extra emotional rehearsal with pro partner Mark Ballas. “Genuinely, I was so annoyed at myself because I'm more of a ‘suffer in silence’ [type], and I couldn't hold it in, like, I had a lump in my throat,” Higgins, 35, exclusively told Us after the Tuesday, September 22, live show. “I was hormonal, I was tired, I was mentally, physically exhausted [and] I couldn't get the dance in my brain, like, it wouldn't go in.” For viral hits night, Ballas, 40, taught Higgins a cha-cha to “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire. “I kept thinking, ‘I only have three days. I have to perform in three days, what am I gonna do? Do this on the floor?’” Higgins recalled. “I'm in my head a lot, and I really need to learn to just stop and relax and enjoy this because it's a dream show for me. And yeah, bless Mark. I don't know how he put up with me this week, honestly.” Ballas, for his part, noted that Higgins ultimately got the routine in her head, earning a total score of 19 out of 30. The pair finished second on the leaderboard, just below a three-way tie for first between Jenna Dewan, Ezra Frech and Amber Glenn. Even before they hit the dance floor, Ballas has remained patient with his former The Traitors season 4 costar. “We don't get annoyed with each other. We're more, well, you get annoyed with the task at hand,” the three-time mirrorball champ told Us. “I don't want her to [be annoyed with herself] because it's good to put pressure on yourselves at times.” He continued, “It's good to work hard, but she's not a dancer, and she's like, ‘Why is it so hard?’ I'm like, ‘That's the show, that's why we're here.’ I keep reminding her, ‘That's why you're here.’” Higgins, for her part, has been all-in on her ballroom lessons. “I'm just working very, very hard,” she told Us. “I don't think I've ever worked this hard in my life, and I've worked hard, but my God, this show is no joke. And we're only on week two!” As Higgins quicksteps her way to the mirrorball, she even received helpful tips from her Traitors costar Lisa Rinna following her previous ballroom tenure. “Lisa just said, ‘Enjoy, don't forget to enjoy it, and don't put too much pressure and stuff,’” Higgins added of Rinna, 63, who appeared on the second-ever season in 2006. “I'm doing all the wrong things because I'm putting all the pressure on myself.” Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.

Alexandra let the look speak for itself and rocked soft glam including black eyeliner, mascara, rosy cheeks and pink, lined lips. Her strawberry blonde hair was parted down the middle and worn down and in a blowout. “Yellow mood in archival givenchy ��,” Alexandra captioned the post. Tyler Mane's Shocking Cancer Journey Twist: The Blood Clot Scare

X-Men star Tyler Mane is opening up about a scary complication he experienced during the tail end of his breast cancer journey that he didn’t see coming. “I went through four rounds of chemo, and they found the blood clot after I rang the bell. After they say, ‘All gone, all clear,’ and then I said, ‘Is it done? Is it really done?’ And then [the] blood clot comes. But we're dealing with it. I'm on blood thinners for that now, and it's better to get it taken care of and stick around than not,” he told Us exclusively on Wednesday, September 16, ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Mane, 59, who’s known for his role as supervillain Sabretooth in the original 2000 X-Men film, explained that the blood clot was “the biggest eye-opener” during his cancer battle. "That puts it into perspective real quick. My doctor got real serious real quick when we realized that we had a blood clot going on in two different places in my leg. It was from my ankle to about three-quarters of the way up my calf, and then it was also behind my knee a bit, and that's when, you know, you start thinking, ‘Are we taking care of this? And what does it take for something to break off and travel to your lungs or to your heart?’ That was probably the biggest eye-opener, I'd have to say. It's the blood clot,” he said. In June, Mane shared that he had been diagnosed with a “rare” case of male breast cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. He told Us that he’s “in the home stretch” of his battle and had 14 days left of radiation at the time of the interview. “I can't wait,” he noted about finishing treatment. Mane has a lot to look forward to. He and his wife, actress Renae Geerlings, started a podcast, “Mane AF,” during his cancer journey. In each episode of the show, which launched August 27, the couple speak to celebrities and experts about midlife mayhem, from marriages to reinvention and everything in between. Mane and Geerlings, 51, are also gearing up to be new grandparents. The couple’s daughter is pregnant, and they are thrilled to welcome a new addition to their family after losing both Mane’s brother and Geerlings’ father within the last year. “I never thought that I'd be dealing with breast cancer and losing my brother this early, and so it's just all midlife stuff that we're all going to deal with at some point in time, and you just have to deal with it and get through it the best we can,” Mane said. “This year has been interesting, to say the very, very least. But that's a good thing. I guess it's OK to be a grandpa, but, oh, I don't like that word.” Through it all, Mane has remained positive, although he admitted he “regularly” felt like he couldn’t handle chemo anymore. “I just have the attitude. It'll take me down, but I don't let it take me down all the way because I realize this is a mental game, and it is something that I'm going to win. No one can stay positive going through cancer treatment 100 percent. There are going to be moments when you question it, question yourself, question your ability to fight the cancer off, question everything, [even] your mortality,” he told Us. Mane is on the way to recovery, but statistics show that roughly 2,670 men will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and 530 will die from breast cancer in 2026, according to the American Cancer Society. Mane shared one thing he wishes he had done differently during his journey. (After his diagnosis, he discovered he had the BRCA2 mutation that increases the risk of developing breast cancer and other cancers through genetic testing.) “I wish that I would have had the genetic testing earlier, because then I would have gotten my butt in when I'd felt the lump, and then we may have caught this a lot sooner. Maybe I wouldn't have had to do the chemo. Maybe I wouldn't have had to do the radiation,” he admitted to Us. The star also had a stern message for all the men out there about their health: “Be your best advocate.” Mane stressed, “Get in there, get it checked. Worst case scenario, it's nothing, and they go, ‘Oh, you're worrying about nothing.' If it is something, have it removed immediately. Men get breast cancer. I think there's 2,600 to 3,000 cases a year. It's less than 1 percent of all the breast cancer cases in America, but over 500 men die from it. The death rate is really high because men do not catch it quick enough. So they're already in stage III, stage IV, and it's something that they just don't think about.” He added, “You have to take care of yourself first because if something happens to you, something happens to your health; there's nothing else there. You're done.” Mane first rose to fame playing Sabretooth in 2000’s X-Men and 2006’s X-Men: The Official Game before reprising the role in 2024 alongside Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool & Wolverine. He also played Michael Myers in Rob Zombie’s 2007 reboot of Halloween and its 2009 sequel.

Presley Gerber's Mysterious Death at 27: What We Know So Far

Presley Gerber’s body has been released after an autopsy was completed. According to online records viewed by Us, Gerber’s cause of death is still listed as "deferred," with no timetable for when official results will be released. No foul play is suspected at this time. The Los Angeles Medical Examiner previously confirmed to Us on Monday, September 21, that additional testing needs to be done in order to make a determination. “The County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner (DME) is in the early stages of investigating the death of 27-year-old model Presley Gerber and limited information is currently available,” the medical examiner’s office said in a statement to Us on Monday. “A deputy medical examiner performed an examination today and the cause and manner of death have been deferred, which means additional testing and/or studies were requested in order to make a determination. Due to the ongoing death investigation, the DME cannot disclose what testing and/or studies were requested. Deferred cases can take a few months before a cause of death is determined.” Us can also confirm Gerber was pronounced dead at 9:45 a.m. local time on Monday, September 20, by responding paramedics. He was 27. The Santa Monica Police Department in California is the investigating law enforcement agency for the case. Prior to his death, Presley was open about his mental health struggles and battles with addiction. During a 2023 podcast interview, the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber explained why he wanted to share parts of his life story. “Whether I help one person or a 100 people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,” Presley explained during an episode of the “Studio 22” podcast. “I’ve had a lot of time to look into myself and learn about myself with therapists.” Throughout the highs and lows of addiction, Presley had the support of his family, including sister Kaia Gerber. “My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything — and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone,’” Kaia, 25, told Vogue in August 2026. “There’s only so much you can hide from the world. Ex-Boyfriend's Shocking Confession in Influencer Murder Case

The ex-boyfriend of beauty influencer Stefanie Pieper has formally been charged with murder 10 months after she was killed. The ex, who has only been identified as Patrick M, has been accused of strangling and stabbing Pieper, 31, in her apartment in Austria in November 2025. He then allegedly stuffed her body in a suitcase, which was eventually found buried in a forest near the border of Slovenia. Patrick, 31, previously admitted to killing Pieper amid his alleged jealousy after they split. He was formally charged with her murder on Monday, September 21, according to German outlet Bild. Per the report, Patrick walked back his initial confession and only admitted to burying Pieper’s body. He was arrested in Šentilj before he was extradited to Austria. It is not currently clear if he has entered a plea or retained legal counsel following his arrest. Patrick’s brother and stepfather were also accused of helping him move Pieper’s body, but they are reportedly not expected to be charged. Pieper was last seen at a Christmas party on November 23, 2025. After she left the party, she sent her friend concerning texts about “a creep in the stairwell,” according to the New York Post. Pieper was reported missing the following day when she didn’t show up for a scheduled photo shoot. She was found dead less than one week later on November 29, 2025, and authorities said she had facial injuries that she may have sustained while trying to get out of the suitcase. After Pieper was reported missing, her ex quickly became a suspect in the case. “Subsequent investigations led to the suspicion that the woman’s 31-year-old ex-boyfriend might be connected to her disappearance,” Styrian State Police previously said at the time. “The man is believed to have traveled to Slovenia several times in his car. He could not be contacted by the investigating police.” German newspaper Kronen Zeitung reported that Patrick was apprehended in Slovenia. Police found him after they responded to a call that “a car had caught fire in the parking lot of a casino near the border” in Šentilj. “This was the 31-year-old man’s car,” police said. “He was found in the immediate vicinity of the burning vehicle and arrested by the Slovenian police. Extradition to Austria has been requested.” After Patrick reportedly confessed to strangling Pieper, he took police to the nearby forest where her remains were. As Us previously reported, Pieper’s autopsy report confirmed that she died as a result of strangulation to her neck. In March, a spokesperson for the Graz Public Prosecutor's Office told Bilt that investigators had not ruled out the theory that she may have been alive when she was put in the suitcase. I’m too busy.” Bringing Bryana Ferringer to the CMAs Green broke hearts everywhere when he attended the 2025 CMA Awards that November with Bryana Ferringer. While the pair didn’t walk the red carpet together, when the cameras panned to Green inside the venue, Ferringer was sitting beside him. The outing came a few months after the singer was first linked to the influencer in summer 2025. Ferringer, who previously dated country singer Tucker Wetmore, was spotted out with Green via a TikTok video posted that August.
