Heartbreak as Volleyball Star Amanda Mack Passes Away at 20 New

Heartbreak as Volleyball Star Amanda Mack Passes Away at 20

Holy Cross volleyball player Amanda Mack died on Wednesday, September 16, after being diagnosed with a “rare blood disorder.” She was 20.  “It is with incredible sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter Amanda Elizabeth Mack on 9/16/26 at 9:16 pm,” Mack’s Instagram account posted on Thursday, September 17. “Amanda was a bright light in this world and will be forever loved and missed! ✝️.” Mack revealed a “major life update” on social media July 13, sharing a picture of herself in a hospital bed.  “Not a post I ever thought I would be making,” she wrote via Instagram. “A few weeks ago I woke up not feeling well. A bad headache where I could hear my heartbeat pounding in my head. I ended up passing out and went to the hospital. My hemoglobin was at 4 and my platelets were at 1. I was in critical condition. Somehow my body had depleted my blood supply and ability to clot. I was admitted to the hospital and loaded full of blood and platelet transfusions.” After a week in the hospital, Mack said she was transferred to Tampa General Cancer Institute, where it was determined she had “a rare blood disorder called Severe Aplastic Anemia.” “While it is technically not cancer, it is in the blood cancer family and treated the same,” she explained. “My hematology/oncology Doctors have said that I recently had a virus that I didn’t know I had and it caused my immune system to go rogue and start killing my bone marrow. I no longer can make red blood cells needed to survive which has also caused my bone marrow to be depleted.” Mack had two “emergency surgeries in the last week to save my life due to severe complications,” but expressed optimism after finding a bone marrow donor, which she said is “the only cure” for severe aplastic anemia.  “After I am transplanted, the donor cells will start rebuilding my immune system,” she said. “It will take several months to start getting back to where I was before however, I will be back better than ever!” Mack provided an update on August 14, saying she “finished my Immunosuppressive Therapy yesterday and came through it with minimal adverse reactions!” “Now we wait for my body to fix my immune system and regenerate my bone marrow,” she shared via Instagram. “I should be able to go home by the end of next week and get to start Physical Therapy and the rest of my healing journey! Thank you to everyone for checking on me and for all the well wishes! You all have made this whole thing a little easier .” Mack played volleyball at the University of Cincinnati and Eastern Kentucky University before transferring to Holy Cross in July.  “Cincinnati Volleyball is heartbroken by the passing of former Bearcat Amanda Mack,” the team wrote via social media on Thursday. “Our hearts are with Amanda’s family, friends and teammates.”

Millie Bobby Brown’s new bundle of joy has officially made his Instagram debut. The “Stranger Things” alum and husband Jake Bongiovi shared a joint photo to Instagram in which their hands cradle the hand of their second child together.“hi little guy!” they captioned the photo, seemingly confirming they welcomed a son.The photo came hours after news broke that the couple had welcomed another child together via adoption, according to a People source.Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi (seen here in a previous social media upload) shared the first photo of their second child Thursday on Instagram. jakebongiovi/InstagramThe photo (seen above) featured Brown and Bongiovi’s hands cradling their new child’s hand. Millie Bobby Brown/InstagramRepresentatives for the couple did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.Brown, 22, and Bongiovi, 24, previously adopted a daughter in August 2025.“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” they said in a joint statement at the time. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”“And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi,” they concluded the announcement. The young parents (pictured here in a selfie) captioned the post, “hi little guy,” seemingly confirming they had welcomed a son. milliebobbybrown/InstagramThe couple (seen here in a previous social media upload) welcomed their latest bundle of joy via adoption, People reported Thursday. milliebobbybrown/InstagramSpeculation that the young couple had welcomed a second child sparked earlier this month when Brown shared a carousel of photos of videos from a family vacation to the Dolomites, an Italian mountain range. In the post’s first clip, Brown is seen holding their daughter while Bongiovi wears a baby carrier as they walk with animals in a picturesque landscape setting. The lovebirds have kept their daughter out of the spotlight and have yet to reveal her name or show her face to the public. That hasn’t stopped fans from guessing the baby’s name, however; many theorized they’d called her Ruth in honor of Brown’s grandmother after she wore a necklace bearing that name in a May Instagram post.Fans began speculating that the couple had welcomed a second child when Brown shared an Instagram post of her carrying their daughter and Bongiovi wearing a baby carrier. Instagram/@milliebobbybrownBrown and Bongiovi — who married in 2024 — adopted their daughter in August 2025 and have notably kept her name private and her face hidden from the public. BlayzenPhotos / BACKGRIDBrown — who has defended herself from critics over her becoming a young mom — explained her reasoning behind maintaining her daughter’s privacy in a November 2025 interview with British Vogue.“For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself,” the “Enola Holmes” actress reasoned.“It’s not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly,” she continued. “If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that’s something we’d support.”Brown and Bongiovi — son of legendary singer Jon Bon Jovi — began dating in 2021 and got engaged in 2023.They married in 2024 — first by secretly exchanging vows in a “low-key” ceremony in the Hamptons before their lavish Italian wedding later that year. Tom Cruise Amazed by Taylor Swift's Newfound Football Skills at Chiefs Game New

Tom Cruise Amazed by Taylor Swift's Newfound Football Skills at Chiefs Game

Tom Cruise is breaking down his hangout with Taylor Swift at Travis Kelce’s Chiefs game. The Digger actor, 64, stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, September 17, and was quizzed about being photographed alongside Swift, 36, at the Chiefs’ game against the Denver Broncos on Monday, September 14. Host Jimmy Fallon described the meet as the “biggest movie star in the world sitting next to the biggest artist in the world” and asked, “What do you talk about?” “She was schooling me on football. She was bringing the football [knowledge],” Cruise responded. “First of all, she’s a genius,” Cruise gushed over the musician. “I’ve been following her since she was a kid. Everybody there, all their friends… they’re a beautiful couple and magical in their own right.” “I haven’t been to a football game since pre-COVID … so to get to hang out there and have that moment, it was a lot,” he added. Fallon noted that before Swift started dating Kelce, 36, in 2023, she didn’t know much about football. Cruise said that has clearly changed over the course of her relationship with the Chiefs tight end. “Oh, she knows her stuff. She’s like, ‘This is like…’ I was like, ‘OK!’” Cruise recalled. “She knew nothing about football when she met Travis. It was like her [saying], ‘What was it like playing against your brother, tackling each other?’ She said, ‘You know, he’s so patient.’ I said, ‘I’m sure he was!’ … She knows [football]. She’s just bringing it. She knows.” For her part, Swift told TIME magazine back in December 2023, ““Football is awesome, it turns out. I’ve been missing out my whole life.” Aside from football, Cruise said, “We talk about music and movies.” “She’s funny. She’s got such a great sense of humor. A brilliant writer, also, by the way. A brilliant musician, director … very skilled,” he continued to praise the Grammy winner. Cruise was among the guests who attended Swift and Kelce’s July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City, which was officiated by fellow actor Adam Sandler. In an interview with ESPN’s Chris Berman on Monday, Kelce, also 36, described it as “the best night of my life.” “Marrying Taylor, it was more than I could have ever dreamed it to be because of all the people that showed up and the amount of love that was in the air,” he said.

Janelle Brown's New Romance Sparks Buzz After Surprising Revelation New

Janelle Brown's New Romance Sparks Buzz After Surprising Revelation

Sister Wives star Janelle Brown is embracing the softer life. The TLC personality, 57, gushed over her new boyfriend, Pete, in a new Instagram post shared Wednesday, September 16, while opening up about the little ways he makes her feel appreciated. “Pete drives, he opens my car door, and he makes sure I’m taken care of He spoils me in lots of old fashioned ways. I could get used to this ,” Janelle wrote in the caption of a clip showing her man behind the wheel while she sat next to him with a big smile on her face. “A nod to my 'passenger princess' era. I'm not sure I've ever been one before but I could get used to this.” Janelle continued in the comments section, “And he gives me the luggage rack . For all of those asking. I’ve never had someone watch out for, and take care of me like he does .” The reality TV star went public with Pete in August, roughly four years after she announced her split from ex-husband Kody Brown, with whom she shared six children. (One of the former couple’s sons, Garrison, died by suicide in March 2024.) Christine Brown was the first of Kody’s four wives to leave the plural family in November 2021. Janelle later announced her decision to call it quits during the season 17 Sister Wives tell-all special in December 2022, shortly before Meri Brown and Kody parted ways. The exes released a joint statement at the time, which read, "After more than a decade of working on our relationship in our own unique ways, we have made the decision to permanently terminate our marriage relationship." Meri, 55, and Kody, 57, continued, “We are committed to kindness and respect toward each other and to all members of our family, and we are also committed to the continued healing of any and all relationships within the family so that we can move forward with forgiveness, grace, and love.” Following the plural family’s shakeup, Kody is currently only married to fourth wife Robyn Brown. Similar to Janelle, Christine, 54, has also moved on romantically. She wed David Woolley in 2023. While the new men are expected to appear on the upcoming season of Sister Wives, fans were surprised to learn that Kody and Robyn, 47, will be leaving after nearly two decades. “After 16 years of filming Sister Wives, Kody & Robyn will not be returning to the show,” the season 21 trailer revealed earlier this month. Janelle, for one, was shocked, telling the cameras, “I was flabbergasted, really, when I got the news.”

Pussycat Dolls' Warsaw Concert Takes a Turn Without Nicole Scherzinger New

Pussycat Dolls' Warsaw Concert Takes a Turn Without Nicole Scherzinger

The Pussycat Dolls were briefly down one member during their concert in Warsaw, Poland, on Wednesday, September 16. Lead singer Nicole Scherzinger was notably absent from the stage at the COS Torwar Arena while Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt began singing the group’s 2006 hit “Buttons.” Instead of singing what would be Scherzinger’s verses, the pair danced through gaps in the song until the former Masked Singer judge, 48, was able to join them on stage later in the performance. Fans took to social media to comment on the mishap. “It would be less awkward to ask them to stop the music and start when everything was OK,” one X user wrote under footage of the performance. “Oh this is bad,” another person added. ‘Y’all can’t sub in on the vocals? I understand why Nicole was getting most of the money and camera time .” A rep for the band later released a statement explaining Scherzinger’s absence. “During a wardrobe change, there was an issue with Nicole’s in-ear pack, which meant an unexpected mid-show change was necessary,” the statement read. “Rather than the Dolls stopping the entire show and disappointing the fans, the decision was made to fully switch Nicole’s pack, and unfortunately, the change delayed her from joining the other Dolls in time.” The statement added, “Nicole is devastated that the fans were let down in any way, and looks forward to coming back to Poland very soon to make it up to them.” Scherzinger, Wyatt, 44, and Roberts, 45, reunited in March to release the Pussycat Dolls’ single “Club Song.” They also reissued the group’s albums PCD and Doll Domination in celebration of their 20th anniversary. (Former members Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta and Melody Thornton were not included in the reunion.) The trio embarked on the Pussycat Dolls’ latest world tour, PCD Forever, in June, although most of the North American dates were later canceled due to low ticket sales. “Nicole is disappointed,” a source exclusively told Us in May of the canceled tour dates. “She was really excited to get back out there with Ashley [Roberts] and Kimberly [Wyatt] to celebrate a new era, but now she feels they didn’t get a chance to showcase what they can do.” The insider added, “They went from not touring for over 15 years to booking big arenas like Madison Square Garden with only one new song to back it. They overestimated the demand.” After the Pussycat Dolls’ reunion was announced, both Bachar, 52, and Sutta, 44, publicly called out the group for excluding previous members. “I was not contacted regarding the group’s decision to move forward, and I learned of these plans at the same time as the public,” Bachar claimed via Instagram. “Given my history with the brand, having been part of its foundation long before its commercial debut and instrumental in the connections that led to the record deal… I would have appreciated direct communication.” Meanwhile, Sutta described herself as a “liability” because she is a friend and vocal supporter of President Donald Trump‘s health secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “I align with Bobby Kennedy, which is aligning with MAGA,” she said on the “Maverick Approach” podcast at the time.

Why Millie Bobby Brown's Parenting Style Is Sparking Conversations New

Why Millie Bobby Brown's Parenting Style Is Sparking Conversations

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are living on a prayer and lots of love after reportedly welcoming their second baby. A source tells People the actress, 22, and Bongiovi, 24, expanded their family through adoption. Us has reached out to reps for Brown and Bongiovi for comment. Brown appeared to hint at her growing family earlier this month when she shared photos from her and Bongiovi’s trip to the Italian Dolomites. “Different in the dolomites @sansonnea.family,” she captioned the September 7 Instagram post, which included snaps of the pair enjoying the spectacular views. In one video, the Strangers Things alum was seen carrying the couple’s eldest child on her hip while leading an alpaca with her right hand. Bongiovi, meanwhile, was spotted with a baby carrier strapped to his chest. The couple’s newest bundle of joy was not visible as the family took in the mountain range. Brown and Bongiovi tied the knot in May 2024 following a two-year courtship. Since their wedding, Brown and Bongiovi have continued to surprise fans with their low-key lifestyle and ability to keep big moments private. Just over a year after their wedding, the Enola Holmes actress revealed that she and Bongiovi had quietly become parents. “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” read a joint Instagram post shared by the couple in August 2025. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.” Brown and Bongiovi concluded their message with a sweet sentiment, writing, “And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.” In June, Brown opened up about her experience with adoption, revealing on the “Not Gonna Lie” podcast that “every journey is different.” “Waiting for the call is the hardest part,” she admitted. Brown then shared advice for others interested in starting the process, saying, “I just would always encourage you to understand that every journey is different. Don’t compare yourself to others, don’t compare yourself to statistics, don’t compare yourself to other families, but your baby is out there, and you’ll find each other.” During the same interview, Brown responded to “vicious” criticism over how she and Bongiovi have parented their daughter. “I don’t have time for angry women that just need to bring you down, especially when it comes to motherhood,” she noted. “I’ve never experienced anything like this. It’s like, I can always deal with the, ‘Oh, my God, you showed your nipples? What a bitch!’ I’m like, ‘Whatever.’ I don’t care about that, but when you’re like, ‘You didn’t put a hat on your baby?’ I’m like, ‘Try putting a hat on my baby. I dare you [to] put a beanie on her.’” The Damsel star advised mom-shamers to “stay in your own lane, put a hat on your baby and put a sock in your mouth. Sorry, the English is coming out of me, but it’s so true. Like, shut up.”

Robert Kraft's $2 Million Donation: The Story Behind Ed Sheeran's Call

Robert Kraft's $2 Million Donation: The Story Behind Ed Sheeran's Call

Robert Kraft has pledged to donate $2 million to Palestinian relief efforts after he said Ed Sheeran personally called on him to do so.The billionaire owner of the New England Patriots and the Kraft Group shared in a statement Wednesday that he had already decided to make the massive donation before Macklemore publicly called on him to match the rapper’s own $1 million donation.“Earlier today, before Macklemore challenged me to match his donation, Ed called me and asked me to commit $2 million to match his donation to aid in the region to fight this humanitarian crisis,” the statement reads. “Ed now plans to reach out to other venue owners and our goal is to continue to work together to build bridges.”Kraft, 85, insisted that he’s dedicated his life to trying to help people come together and believes that “all lives are worth protecting.”Robert Kraft, the billionaire owner of the New England Patriots and the Kraft Group, is donating $2 million to Palestinian relief, he announced Wednesday. He invited Kraft to match his donation.“Whatever we disagree about, perhaps we can agree on this: Palestinian lives are worth protection,” the “Thrift Shop” rapper wrote. “A Palestinian life is no less valuable than any life on this earth.”On Tuesday, Sheeran’s tour openers — Finneas, Lukas Graham, Aaron Rowe and his own backing band, Beoga — all dropped out of the tour in solidarity with Macklemore.Sheeran (seen here in December 2025) has been getting intense backlash after Macklemore was fired from his Loop Tour due to his “Free Palestine” speech at a recent concert in New Jersey. Rolling Stone via Getty ImagesIn an Instagram message, the “Thinking Out Loud” singer insisted it wasn’t his decision to drop the rapper from the tour. Theo WargoFinneas wrote in an Instagram post, “Artists must not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed. … I stand with Palestine and its people.”Danish pop band Lukas Graham wrote, “We should be able to speak out about war, about civilians being killed, about children who deserve to grow up.”“Money doesn’t give you the right to own the conversation,” they added. “Nobody’s bank balance should decide who gets to speak or which suffering we’re allowed to acknowledge.”The “Thinking Out Loud” addressed the backlash with his own lengthy Instagram statement Tuesday, noting he’s “appalled by the conflict between Israel and Palestine,” and insisting that it wasn’t his decision to drop Macklemore from the tour.Sheeran said he personally spoke to Kraft to try to “build a bridge” but was unsuccessful. teddysphotos/instagramThe singer also shared that he’s usually quiet about politics because his audience mostly includes young people “of all backgrounds.” teddysphotos/instagramSheeran said he tried to “build a bridge” between the two sides — including talking to Kraft — but was ultimately unsuccessful.“Macklemore coming off tour was the promoter’s decision, it was not mine,” he wrote. “Macklemore’s contract for the tour was with the promoter, not me. I would never let down the fans who had made plans, nor would I abandon the touring crew and the other support acts and musicians who rely on me for work and to make a living.”But the “Downtown” rapper did place responsibility on Sheeran in an earlier Instagram message, writing that “Ed Sheeran and his team have made the decision to remove me from The Loop tour.”Sheeran’s opening acts and his own backing band have all quit the Loop Tour in solidarity with Macklemore. Getty Images for MTV“I consider him a brother,” he wrote in part of Sheeran. “And because of that, we’ve had some difficult conversations this past week. The type of talks rooted in love and respect for one another that still end in a place of fundamental disagreement.”Macklemore claimed that Sheeran told him that Kraft called him and said he would “not be allowed” to perform at the businessman’s Gillette Stadium later this month. He further claimed that Sheeran told him that the words “Free Palestine” and the image of the Palestinian flag “were hurtful to a lot of people he spoke with.”“I told him that if those words were more offensive than tens of thousands of Palestinian children being killed by Israel, then there was a fundamental disconnect between where those people stood and where I stood,” he alleged. “But he couldn’t get past his public facing, ‘I don’t take sides.’” Community GuidelinesWelcome to the Page Six Community! Our community is about connecting people through open and thoughtful conversations.
